Terms and Conditions for CEM's Special Initiative

Welcome to CEM's Special Initiative! By downloading, installing, and using our mobile application ("the App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please refrain from using the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are made signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Use of the App

The App is intended to help users report, track, and resolve community issues or grievances through public service interfaces. By using the App, you agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful and constructive purposes.
• Provide accurate and honest information when submitting reports or feedback.
• Respect the privacy and rights of other users.
• Not misuse features such as location tracking, image uploads, or notifications.

3. Account and Registration

Some features of the App may require registration. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete personal details.
• Keep your credentials secure and confidential.
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized use of your account.
• Be responsible for all activity under your account.

4. User Content

When you submit data (such as complaints, photos, or messages), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and process the content solely for purposes of resolving and managing grievances.

You agree not to post content that is:

• False, misleading, or offensive
• Harassing or abusive to others
• Promoting illegal activities or violating laws
• Violating the privacy or rights of others

5. Notifications and Communications

The App may send you notifications for updates, report status, or community events. You may manage notification preferences from your device settings.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in misuse of the App. Upon termination, your access to the App will be revoked immediately and any saved data may be deleted.

7. Data Deletion Request

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data from our servers. To request data deletion:

• Include your registered mobile number or email (used in the app)
• Specify whether you want to delete your full account or certain data only

We will process your request within 15 working days, subject to verification and legal obligations (if any).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. We provide the App “as is” without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee the App will be free of bugs, interruptions, or server failures. Your use of the App is at your own risk.

9. Privacy Policy

Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, logos, and functionalities of the App are the property of CEM's Special Initiative or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or modify any part of the App without prior written consent.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. If significant changes are made, we will notify users via the App. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes your agreement to the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Assam.
